My name is Jesse Wilson, I am Kalkutungu (Kalkadoon) Yurru (man). My heritage and culture is that of Kalkadoon people in Northwest Queensland region of Australia. I have learnt the art of Yidaki (Didgeridoo) making from a brother whose skills have been inherently handed down several generations.
My elders are proud of my talents and skills and have afforded me their blessings in undertaking this business venture. I respectively thank them and those who have associated artwork, whilst respecting our regions diversity of styles and art. The Yidaki is possibly the world’s oldest known musical instrument developed by indigenous peoples of Northern Australia over 60,000 years ago.
